Good evening, I'm brand new here and I thought the best approach might be to tell you what we are trying to accomplish, and then get your feedback regarding if this is the right place for us, etc. Thank you in advance.

We are Verdugo Hills High School (hence the VHHS) from Los Angeles, California and our 50th reunion will be next month. It has generated a great deal of interest in our music, especially considering that we were in high school in Southern California in the mid/late 1960's. Absolutely magical times.

We have a very active Facebook page and my idea was to have a 30 minute or maybe even an hour music show on Sunday nights that focuses on a different month/year of our high school years each week. We would compile requests during the week and then I would play them on Sunday night.

I would like to do intros for the songs, some chat, etc., much like the radio shows from the 60's on the AM band in the US. So I need to understand if I can do this live then play songs off my own compilations, or do I record the show in advance? Whereas others may be broadcasting constantly, we would be doing something new each week, and then I'm not sure. So, are we in the right place? Any and all suggestions are very welcome, and again I thank you very much.

VHHS (Dave Robertson)

With Radionomy you need to plan for a 24 hour day 7 days a week. You sound like what you want to do is a podcast. You can look into http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ they have a free plan which may suit you if you don't want to have a call in show. If that does not work let me know and I have a friend who has a radio station in the LA area who may be able to work you in on his network.

I kind of agree with chasingyourdream. Unless you want to run a radio station and then have a Sunday show for your buddies, this may not be it for you. Running a 24/7/365 station takes a lot of work, and many disappointments too (especially that 90 day 'surprise').

@chasingyourdream, your profile URL points to the dreaded 'Listen to this station on Radionomy.com' message. Use this link instead:
