I want my station to air podcasts. These podcast tracks are 20 to 30 minutes long, so I immediately have a problem with the 15 min length rule.

Okay, I can split a podcast into two tracks. And I don't mind if there's an ad placed between them.

But they have to be played in the correct order (podcast track 1, then podcast track 2). It makes no sense and sounds awful to play only part of a podcast or to play them in the wrong order.

But here's what happens: I create a podcast box and put two files into it, and then one of the files will play and the other one will not play. Or only the second part will play. The same thing happens if I put the podcast files into a playlist. Usually only the first track plays, but the second does not play immediately after. Or, the second track plays without the first part immediately preceding it.

Is there a way to specify that there are two files, they both must be played one after the other (with an ad, if it's time for an ad), and they must be played in the proper order?

Thanks,

Set it up with Playlists instead. Works far better. Also, in the setting for the Playlist make sure the box is checked for "Untrunkable."

There's a box that says "IS Truncable" so I guess that means I leave it UNchecked.

Right?

I have created a playlist for each podcast. Each playlist contains two tracks: part 1 and part 2.

Now I hear a podcast (playlist) being played and it has started with part 2, without playing part 1.

This is maddening. It's a lot of extra work to split the files into two parts because I can't use a 30 min file. But even after I do that, Radionomy won't play the two files in the proper order!

I don't think it should be too much to ask to be able to have two tracks be played part 1 first and then part 2.

I am about ready to quit Radionomy and look for another way to operate an online radio ststion.

Hello,

I would be surprised that a 15 minutes file scheduled in & playlist can be skipped. Are you sure that you uploaded both your files in the playlist?
Please fill your profile as asked here http://board.radionomy.com/viewtopic.ph ... =568#p1969 then mention the playlist and the name of the files you used and I will have a look.

Still having the same problem. My playlists (which all consist of two files that are 10 to 14 minutes each), sometimes play correctly. But other times only the first file plays but not the second. And sometimes the first file plays followed by the first file being played again.

Everything would be much easier if Radionomy would allow files up to 30 min for podcasts, especially podcasts that do not contain any commercially-released music. This would still allow ads to be placed before and after the podcast.

Would this be possible?
