Hi All,

I've been running an internet radio station since 1999, and let me tell you, crossfading/mixing your tracks is, as far as I'm concerned, mandatory for a high-quality station. It makes all the difference for a good listening experience.

I just finished making mix points for over 1,400 tracks. It took a while. If you want to give your station that extra push, do it. Mix them. Do it! If I can do it, you can too.

I think a lot depends on the type(s) of music your station plays. Clearly for a trance music station it is wise, but for a station playing a wide range of musical styles it could just lead to messy sounding mixes as you merge the end of a slow ballad into an up-tempo number. I look for consistency in mine with one and a half to two second gaps between tracks as a type of punctuation. It seems that some purchased mp3s have virtually no blank play time at the end while others may have 7 or 8 seconds, which doesn't sound too good if they remain unchanged.

This is what I do really get a hard time understanding how this mixing works, I monitor my station and o man it only plays like 30 song while I do have over a hundred in the clock and planning.

I am truly getting frustrated how this constraints style is working. If I cna only mix it myself i'll do it but where and how can i do it... I tried using the palylsit but still it doesn't play the way the playlist is arranged. I wish Radionomy change the software.

I am truly be in Super Appreciation if anybody cna tell and show me the exact way for me to be able to have my station play all the song i have without. Please show me some tricks... i tried changing the constraint to all types of number still there are song that play twice in a row.

Helllpppppppp....
