If you search stations on Radionomy, click on the station you want to look at, the name of the station is at the top of the page and under that are the genres. Under the genres is a listen link that opens a flash player (I guess that's what it is), the link looks like this: http://listen.radionomy.com/thecosmicisland. When you click it, you get a grey page with a black/purple progress bar and the station plays their music EXCEPT, it only works on some stations. On other stations, the music does not play, the only audio is a man saying " listen to this program on Radionomy dot com or our free apps etc., etc., etc...."
My question is, why does that only work on certain stations, meaning the station music starts to play? I know there are many ways to listen to a station but I'm curious why only certain stations have that feature enabled while others don't. I can't find a way to enable it so I'm assuming it's Radionomy's decision only. Could you please explain?
Thank you.

That URL ("listen.etc, etc) doesn't work on a web player. It only works with Winamp. It will work for Shoutcast stations which are listed in the Radionomy directory. There are quite a few, and from the listing you can't tell the difference.

And, that is only true in the United States due to certain licensing parameters. If I was in France, for instance, chillin' near the Eiffel Tower and decided to click on one of those links, it would work just fine regardless. I wish Radionomy would make those links be to the players automatically, instead, so there wouldn't be any confusion.

Well, that answers that question. Thank you.
