Post subject:  Revenue sharing questions

Does anyone know if your station has to qualify in both USA and France at the same time in order to start sharing revenue? Or separately? Two of our stations are close to qualifying in the USA.. maybe within a month or two. However, in France, they are not even close. The producer's pact is not clear on this subject.

Also, will the PayPal button automatically show up on our RMO Dashboard under Revenues? I don't see a way to add our PayPal info now.

Math question on revenue sharing: If 25,000 hours is reached in the US, is the cacluation: 25 x $2.20 = $55... or is it only after the 25,000 minimum hours are reached, then calculated above that?

Finally: This statement in the Producer's pact is confusing - "The number of hours per month shall be understood as the total number of hours broadcast from the first day to the last day of each month based on a 30-day month.".... Does the 30-day period mean a Calendar Month? Not all months have 30 days, obviously... so not sure why 30-days is mentioned.

Has anyone received payment yet???

You only have to qualify in one.

Hello,
I answer between the lines:

One country is enough, if you have more than 25000 listening hours in a month in the US and 100 in France, your station is qualified to earn the revenues generated for the USA (but not for France)

This link "withdraw" appears when a revenue is available.

The revenue is calculated from the first hour.

We calculate these hours as follows :
JANUARY 2016: (#hours x 30)/31
FEBRUARY 2016 : (#hours X 30)/29

Thanks, Domi. That makes it clear. I believe the Producer's Pact should be revised and updated to reflect these answers. It would be most helpful.

Domi:

One more question. So, if I understand your answers correctly... the France stats are totally irrelevant to producers from the USA, correct? Meaning... we can ONLY earn revenue sharing dollars from the USA and no other countries, if we are based in the USA? You mentioned 100 hours in France, so I'm confused.. the Producer's Pact talks about 12,500 hours. Is this something new?

And the Spanish producers?? because our radios are also listened in France and US.

Excellent point. (about Spanish producers)

I would think that if advertising is sold in the UK , for example, and we have thousands of listeners there as well, would we not share in that revenue since we contributed to the audience size on behalf of Radionomy?

It depends on the listeners' location not the producer's. You did not understand Domi's answers correctly.

elmbury

Thanks for the comment.

I wonder if you could share your knowledge and experience with the Radionomy revenue sharing program, since neither the Producer's Pact nor this forum seems to cover it in "clear and understandable" language.
