Hello everybody. I would like to suggest an improvement concerning ad breaks.

The problem: It's a downer being listening to a specific type of music in a radiostation of your choice and end up finding yourself listening to an elevator type of music which has nothing to do with what you were listening to.

The consecuence: The likelyhood for the listener to stop listening to that radiostation grows a lot, because it breaks the musical coherence of the radiostation. A listener would accept the ads because that's the way it is, but they're perception of the radiostation would be much better if the breaks are as little disruptive as possible.

The proposal: I'm sure every listener would enjoy a lot more our radiostations if instead of using jamendo's tracks to complete the time left by the ads, Radionomy used any filler of that specific radiostation.

Cost of implementation: Little. I'm sure this messure would be a great improvement for every radiostation and I honestly think it wouldn't be a big deal to implement it for the Radionomy crew.

Benefits:
- Radiostations would sound much more pro.
- Listener would have a far better experience.
- Radionomy would improve the level of its radiostations at a very afordable price (close to free probably).

To clarify this even more (just in case) i'm going to give you an example of how it would be if implemented.

Wouldn't it be much better with the improvement?
[...]
previous track belonging to the planning
ad (or ads)
remaining part of one of the radiostation's fillers to complete the 2 minutes ad break
following track belonging to the planning
[...]

Than the current and worse?
[...]
previous track belonging to the planning
ad (or ads)
jamendo's tracks (not related to the type of music of the radiostation).
following track belonging to the planning
[...]

What do you think?

Cheers everybody!

I agree with Radionava.
No, Jimenzl it hasn't been resolved. The problem is you can't choose which Jamendo track to play in "Fillers" box. The default is always "Acoustic Blues" and can not be changed. It would be nice if it could be changed to fit the format of your radio. Some ads are not the full two minutes and a Jamendo filler plays the rest of the ad.

Jimenezl, want to make clear, you can make and upload your own fillers that fit to your format

Yes, you can make and upload your own fillers that fit to your format, but in countries where real ads(like USA) are played, sometimes the ads are not the full two minutes and the last 30-60 seconds are filled with Jamendo music. Even if you have a two minute filler, the Jamendo music still plays. Just saying...it would be nice to be able to change the default "Acoustic blues" in the Filler box to another music format.

I think that targetspot provides the 2 minutes of advertising including the Jamendo music and not Radionomy.

I don't have a single Jamendo song playing on my station. It's only ads and my fillers; no Jamendo.

I get the same random jumble of ads, Jamendo, and drops to my fillers in progress that I’ve been getting for a year or so. Sounds like crap, but I’m resigned to it. Making my fillers up of 30-second PSAs helped a little, because it usually drops to my filler in progress on a 30-second boundary. But almost always a little Jamendo mixed in with the ads.

Correction: I am hearing a little bit of Jamendo after the Geico (or is it Progressive) ads. :|

My observations from the midwest US is -

One or two ads (typically Blue Cross Blue Shield, Progressive Auto Insurance, JC Penney, Home Depot)
Jamendo for 30 to 60 s (a rotating mix of 3 or 4 different ones, that old piano-style one is hardly ever heard anymore)
If there's still time after this (30 s), cold drop to musical filler that I had previously defined

This has been going on for over a year, too, but I just haven't worried much...
