Let me start off by saying that I live in the United States. So this is what I would like to do, start my own website which would include a Radionomy Player and a chatroom for visitors to chat to one another while listening to programmed music or me doing a live show. Would I need a license to do this or would the license be covered by Radionomy? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure you want to wait for an official response, but I'm pretty sure you're covered.
See Fusion 101 website (Wordpress) for example of player integration. If you do it with Wordpress, it's easy to insert a chat room or chat wall.
Good luck

I'd suggest reading the SoundExchange, ASCAP, BMI and SESAC rules. Those are the agencies which would be involved, as you are in the USA. They license USA web pages/sites which play music. That seems to be what you would be doing.

Hello,

Radionomy covers the broadcasting rights for your station hosted on its platform, you can embed the player Radionomy without paying a license for your station.

If any other type of music is available on your website (podcasts, replay, video,...), Radionomy doesn't cover the rights for it.
