Thanks Big 80's. I've uploaded all of my official mixes and have over a dozen 12-hour playlists that are currently rotating on the main station. There's also a New Wave station & I may eventually launch an all-80's remix station as well.

I love your station & already have it in my favorites. You're the first person to compliment my station. I appreciate it.

While I admire and support other Producers helping each other out, there is a limit as to how far I personally will go for requested support. Mainly because it could fall under the false audience portion of the Producer's Pact - Section 16.

"False Audience Generation Radio Producers shall refrain from using alternative audience generation methods, of which listeners are unaware (for example by using a Player in mute mode or preventing using the Stop function) or technical means (such as Bots) generating listeners that are not real. All other means shall also be sanctioned immediately. Periodic checks shall be conducted by RADIONOMY. Should an infringement be recorded, the Producer shall be notified to cease such actions within 48 hours. In case of non-compliance and/or a new infraction being recorded, the Radio Station shall be definitively deactivated by RADIONOMY. Non-compliance with Adionomy’s Terms of Use and Sanctions Non-compliance with Adionomy’s terms may lead to the Radio Station’s immediate deactivation following e-mail notification to the Producer."

While having people, or asking people to listen to a station because of its content is completely fine, asking others, especially other Producers, is a questionable practice in my eyes. Asking others to listen just for the sake of audience numbers is akin to summoning a collection of bots or automated listeners to do nothing to boost numbers.

The reason this is noted in the Producer's Pact is because of advertising. This platform is supported by advertising and by falsifying listeners through an automated process or even non-genuine listeners (active or not) defeats the main reason we have this opportunity with Radionomy.

I am not saying this is not allowed under any circumstance, I am just noting a possible issue with promoting listenership to other Producers just for listenership hours. It could fall under section 16 of the Producer's Pack. I leave the final interpretation to Radionomy's staff.

That's not what's going on here. This is simply an attempt to get broadcasters who are in the same boat to help each other out. If I choose to listen to other stations that are low rated, in an attempt to help them then that's my business. No one is generating "fake" listeners. This is about supporting great stations that deserve the chance to survive & thrive.

If I had posted about listening to highly-rated stations, no one would be complaining. The top rated stations get plenty of promotion whether they need it or not. We all put effort into our stations, not just the successful ones. It's unfortunate that Radionomy (like Live365) has no interest in helping their smaller stations. Where are tomorrow's hit stations supposed to come from?

Hey! Add me to the list! I'm also a Live365 convert! I couldn't have said it better. Also why not let our music stream 24/7 without going dead when no one is listening? Can't Radionomy techs develope software that can log when listeners log on and be able to track each station hours? I was able to pick up quite a few new listeners at nite when people would surf stations in the wee hours of the night. I've already had emails from 2 listeners telling me when using their phones to listen they can't get it to work because they are expecting to hear music when they go to the station..............

I think our loyal listeners are having a hard time finding us! I had a strong UK & Canada following and i don't see any now?

I launched Jan 23rd and am up to 11hours per day..................130 hours seems impossible with new people joining everyday as well as all the 365 people having to start over. I was on 365 for 9 years and FINALLY figured out what was working for me and started climbing every week for the last three months - then the roof fell in!

I'd like to throw my stations into the fray...and I'm not sure if my followers have quite found me yet. In any case, nice to connect with everyone!

Hi everyone! Thanks for this thread. Still learning the ways of Radionomy and hoping we can get enough listener hours to keep up the pace.

We are another Live365 expatriate station, Ear Candle Radio! We play a blend of indie, world music, reggae, dub, classic psychedelia, rock and soul with a constantly changing playlist, including music from our own label by the Granite Countertops, the Experimental Bunnies, Dr. Spaceman, X-tal, and J Neo Marvin & The Content Providers. Come visit us here:
