Post subject:  [TUTORIAL] Broadcasting live with Nicecast

This is a tutorial for using Nicecast (MAC OS) to broadcast live on your Radionomy radio station.

You can download Nicecast here.

Configuration

After you launch the software, click on "Window" and then "Show Server". Click on the "+" to add a server. Click on the little round button next to the server freshly created. Fill in the following information:

  • Name – You can add anything you want like "Radionomy Live" for example.
  • Server Type – Select "Shoutcast".
  • Password – By default the “Live” password of a radio is the same as the one used to access the RMO (the one you use to connect to the RMO and Radionomy.com). For more information you can read the live FAQ.
  • Address – You can find this in the "Live" tab in the Settings of the RMO.
  • Port - You can also find this in the "Live" tab in the Settings of the RMO.

Once you have completed these steps you can close the window, you have successfully configured your server.

Choose a source

With Nicecast you can choose your input source if you click on the "Source" button. You have the choice of using applications like iTunes in which you can choose "Application" or directly with your stream you will choose "Audio Device".
