I wasn't sure where to post this, as it's an odd question, and I didn't find anyone else asking.

I came across these in Articles 15 and 16 of the Producer's Pact:

Quote:
15. ... Producers may insert strictly local advertising in their Radio Stations for a maximum of 2 minutes per hour in the same screen. For this type of advertising, RADIONOMY shall not be held liable and only the Radio Station Producer shall be held liable for any legal action or complaints...

Quote:
16... Adionomy is the exclusive service for ordering and broadcasting commercial advertising campaigns on Radio Stations hosted by RADIONOMY. Except for local advertising, no commercial advertising may be broadcast outside the Adionomy service...

All the other posts I've read on the topic of advertising here say we can't do local ads, but the Radio Pact confuses the issue. Questions:

* What is a useful definition of "local advertising"? For my own marketing purposes, it's anywhere within range of an FM signal; about 70 miles radius of the station's antenna. So too would be any advertisers and their customers for their local ads, I would suppose.

* On the assumption that it is okay, then how would we handle the Filler? We are restricted from doing local ads more than 2 minutes per hour, but the ads from Radionomy are 2 minutes every half-hour. Is there a setting for a Filler song that makes sure it's not played more often than once an hour like you can with streams and other songs? (I haven't really played with fillers that much, as they are still new to me.)

Thanks in advance for any feedback and comments. I just think this is pretty important for a station to know about, since it appears to be a MAJOR issue for local advertising revenue.

You label them as sponsors, that is your loophole. Hope this helps.

I've read those over (Google Translate), and followed a number of linked references, and read their conversations. The only promotional materials I have should be safe, based on those forums. Wallstone Publishing Company owns Wallstone Country. It also runs the Old Time Radio Restoration Project (OTRRP), which takes old radio shows, cleans them up as much as reasonably possible, makes them pseudo-stereo, then releases them on Archive.org. Wallstone Publishing sells books (is trying to, anyway) whose market is centralized around the Oklahoma City area, and the OTRRP is more a community service. Based on the threads you sent me, I'm fine, as everything is internal. Thanks again for the references.
