I use Wix.com and you cannot upload files other than what you have stated. Wix. is a web service that is simple and has some great tools from the client side, but is not for people who want server control over their website. If this is a need for you, then Wix is not the service you should use. Basic media files, document files, and picture files are pretty much all you can upload to use on your website. You cannot upload server side scripts, apps, or in your case, playlist container files. You are limited to the server side apps that Wix provides in their app store. The one nice thing you can do is imbed HTML so you can use most 3rd party hosted widgets and even imbed a webpage on your webpage.

Wix is great for simple webdesign but is not for those who want complete granular access to their site design.

Yeah, thanks.
I just did a search for the above-mentioned ftp and this is what you get:
"Hey,
Thank you for contacting Wix Support.
Currently, Wix does not offer an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) service..."
So, yeah, I'm not having any problems with my html for the player, or the previous played tracks.
Is there any way to use html/widgets to achieve the desired result for these alternative players that you know of on Wix?
Or am I just going to have to start over somewhere else to do this?
I checked your site, and see that you have small icons for Windows Media Player, Real Player, Quicktime, Winamp/iTunes.
Is this your Wix site?
Also, I love your "Listen now - click for Pop-up Player" button - and have wanted to add a pop-up player option from the start, but wasn't sure how to do it.
Not sure how helpful you feel like being :mrgreen: ... but I'd LOVE to have any help you'd be willing to offer on how to incorporate these elements on my OWN Wix site, if at all possible.
Thanks in advance (that's sort of EXACTLY the only elements I feel I'm missing on my bloated web page right now... I've still gotta trim it back. :lol: It loads even slower now, since I added a second VJ Loops mix.)

As far as players go i would like to interjeck. I have tried many players on my site and when testing with other people some on apple or other products have issues. I chose the straight simple html5 script for this purpose and put the letop on air script below and and poof everyone can play it just fine. I learned that simple is best. I even had issues with the radionomy player on ppls devices. Just my two cents for what it is worth.

Well, thanks. That's great to know. I've been wondering, since my Radionomy player and Le TopTop players cut out ALL the time.
So, another dumb question, but what are you referring to when you say the "simple html5 script"?
Not the Radionomy or Le TopTop, so what Html?
If I just run the listen.radionomy.com/intergalacticfunk.m3u file made by using the code provided by Bob earlier in the thread for Winamp, it doesn't cut out nearly as much - but I can't figure out how to get this to work on my website (since Wix doesn't have ftp I can't upload the file with the .m3u extension to my webpage editor).
Any help on the html code you're referring to would be greatly appreciated. :mrgreen:

I'd guess, something like this.
Code:
<audio controls>
  <source src="http://www.radionomy.com/IntergalacticFunk" type="audio/mpeg">
Your browser does not support the audio element.
</audio>
That gives you a very plain player.
The "Your browser..." lline is an error code in case the listener is using an old browser.

My website is on Wix.com.

The small icons for a link to my non-Radionomy streams are an small widget that is provided by the Centova Cast front-end that my stream hosting company uses. Nothing really special. Just a sinple HTML widget.
The player, recent played, and popup player widgets are all hosted by another company which I configure for my non-Radionomy stream.

My one Radionomy stream is pretty basic. All I use is the Radionomy player on its webpage. It works for both desktop and mobile so I am not going to do more. My listeners really only want to know the song title and artist so they can look them up if they wish.

Ok.
I officially give up on trying to make this happen with Wix.
I didn't realize those icons were links for NON-radionomy streams. (although I WAS wondering why it gave an option of "192kbps or 64kbps"... that had me scratching my head :lol: ).
Whatever.
Either I rebuild with another host (suggestions?)
or nobody gets to use their media player.
Can anybody say whether the Radionomy player or the Le TopTop player is better to use? (I've tried both, and they're both really unstable)...
or should I just use the bare-bones player as mentioned above?
And any suggestions for how to add a pop-up player?
Thanks everybody for help and suggestions.

You can always do what I have done as well and use the letop script for now playing under or over the html5 player. you will see this on my page. I did not just want a player with no info so by combining two scripts i kinda homeade a full player lol.

YES i use this <h2>LISTEN NOW</h2>
<audio src="http://listen.radionomy.com/ispyradio/;" controls autoplay></audio>
and for the now playing I went to letop website and copied and pasted teh script for my now paying

looks like this
<iframe style="border:0px; width:250px; height:100px;"
frameborder="0" scrolling="no"
src="http://radionomy.letoptop.fr/titre.php?radiouid=7ea552d2-1540-4fdd-b3e4-4447f6660a36&co
lor=000000&bgcolor=FFFFFF&width=250&height=250&size=20&thumb=001&font=Verdana&margin=0">
Votre navigateur ne supporte pas les IFrames</iframe>
Put those together and poof a player ;) and it is compatible with almost anything. other than maybe 10 year old browsers.

That was awesome.
Thanks for sharing this. I added it to the site right away.
Still wish I could figure out a way to add the alternate media player options on my Wix site though. :cry:
