I've got about half of my music moved over to TorontoCast, Nobex apps switched to the new streams and are working great. Just put a couple of landing pages up on my TorontoCast subdomains: http://CelticTradRadio.torontocast.stream http://CelticSongstressRadio.torontocast.stream and everything is goi...

It could take a while, but you could play all the samples on Jamendo.com. Don’t even know if the ones we hear are in that catalog, but you might get lucky!

I'm curious as to why you selected Everest Cast. I was thinking of using CentovaCast, as it's been around longer with good support. The only multi-station packages were on Everest Cast. Between that and the amount of storage and number of listeners, that 192kb package looked like a good fit and pri...

I'm not sure where to find this information on TorontoCast site. When you upload your songs, does their system automatically encode to your selected bitrate, or do you have to encode every song yourself? I didn’t set anything beyond selecting the package with the top bitrate (192kb) I wanted. The d...

Nobex cutover was trivial, by the way. Edited my profile, it said there was a problem with my new streaming link, but I woke in the morning with an email from Michelle saying it was cut over, and it was. I still haven’t figured out how to register with ShoutCast, and haven’t tried to reinstate with ...

I have one of their new stations broadcasting already, and it sounds great (with no condom man in sight!). Can you give us a link? I'd like to hear it! http://hazel.torontocast.com:2170/;?type=http&nocache=1555972504 It’s just raw tracks streaming at random right now. I’ve got about 25% of my t...

did any of you pick the 192kb or 320kb package?
I went with 192kb. All of my tracks are encoded at 320kb already, but 320kb seemed like overkill. If for no other reason, the increased storage was important to me, at the minimal additional cost. 192kb is enough for me for now.

Thanks for the info and comparing notes. This Live365/Radionomy refugee is going with TorontoCast. I’ll be producing two stations under their ownership, broadcasting in Canada for Canada! I have one of their new stations broadcasting already, and it sounds great (with no condom man in sight!).

I asked (emailed) Torontocast about licensing for listeners outside of Canada. As soon as I hear from them, I'll post. Yeah, I did the same. It’s as clear as mud. Some deep searching has turned up nothing more than “some countries may require additional licensing”, but no details about what that me...

So, Torontocast licensing covers Canadian listeners. What about U.S. listeners? Or anywhere else for that matter? I guess I need to do some more homework. Last I heard, SOCAN had reciprocal arrangements with other PROs. I know TorontoCast geoblocked the US for a short time earlier this year based o...
